Thanks to the RCASF 32nd Annual Fishing Tournament (June 2011), a boy named Matthew will have his wish granted through Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida. Here is his story (as written and published by Make-A-Wish Foundation):
Matthew is a 15-year-old boy from Coral Springs who is battling brain cancer. He has a tremendously positive spirit and says that fishing helps him cope with the grueling treatments he faces week in and week out. Every chance he gets, Matthew and his father head out fishing. When the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida asked what his greatest wish would be, Matthew asked for a pontoon boat so that he can fish whenever he wants! In the coming months, the Foundation will grant Matthew's very special wish.
